Charles Robert Burgess

Thursday, January 26, 2023. Charles Robert (Bob) Burgess passed away in Greeley, CO, at the age of 87. Born in Mt. Vernon, OH in 1936 to Walter & Dorothy (Brown) Burgess. Bob & his mother moved to Riverton, WY in 1955 after the passing of his father. He served in the Air Force from 1956-1962 as an aircraft mechanic. In 1966 he married Mary Ann Loghry. The family moved to Platteville, CO in 1971 where he started Burgess Electronics, his TV repair shop. He ran that for 5 years, then began working for Public Service Company at Fort St. Vrain where he remained for 16 years. Bob then retired to Bay City, TX where he enjoyed building his Lancair airplane. Later he moved to New Mexico where he spent most of his time researching his ancestry. After suffering several strokes, Bob wished to move back to Colorado to be closer to family where he spent his final days. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Boehm, four adopted daughters; Susan Patterson, Gail ( David) Kalco, Linda (Dale) Roan, Leann Peppler. Their mother Mary Ann Reed, several grandchildren & great grandchildren. Bob had requested no services. Internment will be at a later date at Ft. Logan Columbarium.
