Charles Ernest "Ernie" Carpenter

Charles Ernest “Ernie” Carpenter, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Born December 30, 1941 to the late Zorada Ellen McCann and James William Carpenter (Jack). He was retired from Franklin County Fire Department, Switzer Station. Charles is survived by his wife, Linda Carpenter; his son, Wesley Todd (Kim) Carpenter; his daughter, Laura Mae Carpenter; five grandchildren; and his sister, Juanita Gilbert. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Buddy and Edward Carpenter; and his sister, Willetta Wright. Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev. Jay Stratton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
