Charles Frederick Durham, Jr.

Charles Frederick Durham Jr., loving Husband, Father, and Brother passed away March 9, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Known lovingly as Charlie, he is survived by his wife Christine (Chris), his sister Laura Walker and husband Willem, his Sons: David, Christopher and wife Laraine, and Charles Durham III; Daughters: Anna Mahaffey and husband Travis, Michelle Phillips and husband Channing, Ashleigh and Carrie Durham, Carolyn Kitchens and husband Wesley, Diane Fretwell and husband Bobby, and Kathleen Berry and husband Kent, and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Durham Sr., and Juanita Honeycutt Durham; his sister Pamela Durham; and his first wife, Deborah Brothers Durham. Charlie served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, received a Master of Arts degree from Central Wesleyan College, and worked in the Banking equipment industry for Convergint/Branchserv, Custom Vault. Charlie loved to travel, especially to Disney World where he believed you could visit any country at EPCOT! A Celebration of Charlie will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Albermarle Road Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m., with brunch following (Charlie's favorite meal), in the Church's Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
