Charles "Chuck" Eddleman
August 27th, 1943 - May 24th, 2016
Charles “Chuck” Wadsworth Eddleman, II, 72, went home to be with the Lord May 24, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he was one of the earliest members, with Father Paul Dechant, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Cabarrus County, Chuck was the son of the late Ophelia Mae Morton and Charles Wadsworth Eddleman. He graduated from Concord High School Class of “62. He later attended Scottsbluff College on a Football Scholarship. He was retired from Gray & Creech Office Equipment in Greensboro. He was well known in the Pop Warner Football Kernersville Raiders League. Chuck was devoted to his parish and was passionate in all of his devotion to his church family as an Extraordinary Minister to the sick and homebound, teaching faith formation, and also as a Cursillista he remained involved in the Cursillo movement. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Patricia Strickland Eddleman of the home; daughters Jenifer Robins and Mike of Winston-Salem, and Elizabeth “Liz” Dillon and Stacy of Advance; sons Mark Eddleman and Shannon of Clemmons, John Eddleman and Carrie of Huntersville, and Joseph Eddleman of the home; grandchildren Eli, Faith, Ben, Tommy, Curtis, Jessica, Shawn, Chip, Allana, Mya, Cayden, Ashley, Noah, and Phoebe; great-granddaughter Layla; sisters Deborah Bingham of Yadkinville, Marla Poplin and Richard of Concord, Mitzi Quinn and Michael of Mt. Pleasant; and brother Jeff Hatley of Concord; and step-mother Delaine Eddleman of Concord. There will be a casual gathering of his friends and family Monday afternoon from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.
