Charles Lawrence Kilpatrick
July 20th, 1934 - January 7th, 2011
Kilpatrick, Charles Lawrence 76, of Pinellas Park, formerly of Normal, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 7, 2011 and has gone to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on July 20 1934 in El Paso, IL, a son of Samuel and Maybelle Otis Ray Kilpatrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard and William, and son-in-law Chris Xanders. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ann Kilpatrick, his brother, Keith (Betty) of Cincinnati, OH and his children, Susan Xanders, and Pamela (Richard) Cannon, of El Paso, Kevin (Jamie) Kilpatrick of Normal, IL, and Robin (Alan) Doty of Dardanelle, AR; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a great many friends in the Mainlands community. Mr. Kilpatrick was a self-employed painter in Illinois for many years prior to retiring to Florida in 2002. After retirement, his favorite pastimes were playing Bingo with his friends and visiting casinos locally and in Mississippi. He always had a friendly word for everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on January 16th, at 1:00 PM at the Mainlands Unit 1 Clubhouse. Memorial donations may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
