Charles W. McLaughlin, of Waukesha, passed away on May 21, 2014 at his residence at the age of 85. He was born on September 28, 1928 in Hartford,WI., the son of Charles and Rose (Kiefer). Charles married the love of his life, Leva (Caracci) on October 1, 1955. He worked at W.E. Energies for 30 years and retired in 1987. Charles was a longtime active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and gardening, which he supplied vegetables to over half of Waukesha. Most of all, Charles loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife. Charles will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Leva (Caracci); children, Chuck McLaughlin and Linda Bork; son-in-law, Brad Gamroth; grandchildren, Andrew (Maggie) Bork, Jason McLaughlin (Brianna Linnerud), Jessica McLaughlin, Josiah Gamroth, Jonathan Gamroth, Rebecca Gamroth; great granddaughter, Evelyn McLaughlin and siblings, James (Jane) McLaughlin, Shirley (Dan) Kealey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jean Gamroth. The visitation for Charles will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the 11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Howard Haase will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charles' name are preferred to St. Mary Catholic Church (see address above).
