Charles Richard Murton
June 14th, 1927 - February 9th, 2022
Charlie Murton, loving husband, dad and papa passed away on the morning of February 9th, 2022. He will be so deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have him in their lives. He was a loving husband to Grace Murton for 68 years. They shared many wonderful moments together in those years. Their mutual love of anything sports brought them great joy and fun adventures! Whether it was the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field ( where they had their first date) , Shea Stadium watching the Mets, St. John’s basketball, USC Trojans, Boise Hawks, or their Boise State Broncos, Dad loved every minute of sharing this with “ his bride”. Being a Papa to all of his grandchildren was one of his biggest joys! How his eyes would light up when he held his grandchildren in his arms, and played with them as they grew! I know all of the grandchildren have fun memories of their papa to hold dear. There are so many I can’t count! How wonderful is that? He was the best Papa ever! Anyone who knew dad couldn’t help but know how much he loved his pups! He adored each and every one of them throughout his life. They always had a special seat in his life and in his home. Safe to say those lucky pups loved him back just as much. We could always count on silliness and classic Papa jokes each time we were together. There is a treasure chest of routines we can all fall back on to bring a smile to our faces in the years to come . He had a way of bringing out the silliness in us all. For me, having him for a dad was one of the greatest gifts of my life . I have so many memories of fun and laughter,…….so much laughter ! I will treasure these times always. They shaped so many moments of my life. I am the luckiest girl in the world! I could go on and on and fill page after page telling stories and memories of my dad. It would tell a story of a life well lived, full of laughter and much love shared. So dear Dad, husband, Papa and friend to name a few, we will miss you behind measure and love and cherish you always. You were, and always will be SIMPLY THE BEST! Dad is survived by our mom Grace, his son Joe Murton , and me, his daughter Jan Beaver, along with Scott, my husband .His loving grandchildren children include Brian Murton, ( Shannon) Jennie Sanders ( Robert), Kristi Trongale ( Chris ) , Corey Scrima ( Amy) , Eric Murton ( Nicole) , Kevin Scrima (Randi ) and Mike Scrima ( Savannah). His great grandchildren include Alex Trongale, Nathan Trongale, Nicole Trongale , Charlie Scrima, Caiden Scrima , Ira Scrima , karli Murton, Landry Murton , Logan Murton and Grady Murton.
