Charles Denver Pennington, Jr., age 63, of Rogersville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, peacefully at his home with his wife by his side. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having proudly served his country from 1972-1974. He was a retiree of Eastman Chemical Company of Kingsport with 37 years of service. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years, Karen Murr Pennington. Karen would like to thank the staffs of the Mountain Home V.A. Hospital, Amedisys Hospice, Smoky Mountain Home Health Care for their care and support over the last several months for Charles; also a very special thank you to Karen's 4 children, Rachael Clemons, Belinda Clemons, Robert Clark and Missy Blair for their continued love and care during this difficult time. There will be a military graveside service at 11:30 am on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN with the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 performing military rites.
