Charles Blair Plummer

Charles Blair Plummer II December 30, 1923 - December 6, 2015 Charles B. Plummer II, 91, passed away December 6, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lois J. Plummer, and his parents. He is survived by his eight children; Donald J. Plummer (Georgina) of Waldorf, MD, Charles B. Plummer III (Eva) of Payson, AZ, Margaret Plummer Hart (Dennis) of Tucson, AZ, Alice J. Fuller (Tim) of Bristol, VA, Judith A. Goodman (Scott) of Lake Forest, CA, Kathleen L. Gordon (Tom) of Tucson, AZ, Susan B. Plummer of Tucson, AZ, and William P. Plummer of Tucson, AZ, his twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Charles was born in Johnstown, PA, grew up in Sidman and South Fork, PA, and graduated from Duquesne University. He proudly served as an infantryman in Europe during WWII. He married Lois in 1948 and early on in their marriage they moved to northern Virginia near Washington D.C. for his job with the CIA. Charlie and Lois traveled around the world and lived in Taiwan, Cyprus, Lebanon, Japan and England, as well as Pennsylvania, Virginia and Arizona. Charlie was an amazing husband, father and friend. He devoted his entire life to his family and was a strong and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. He shared his faith by setting an example of love, grace, and compassion. We have been blessed in abundance by having him in our lives. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, December 11, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. There will be a second mass and Christian burial at St. Bartholomew's Church, Wilmore, PA, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Charlie's wish was that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Nigerian Hospital, JUHRI by contacting St. Pius Catholic Church, Tucson, AZ.
