Charles "Chuck" Schmidt

Charles “Chuck” Elton Schmidt, 60 years old, of Parker Colorado, passed away March 14th, 2016 surrounded by his family. Chuck was born in Los Alamos, NM in 1955. He was a long time Denver resident and graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School. Chuck was an employee of the aviation industry and retired from Continental Airlines with 33 years of service. In addition Chuck was a licensed contractor by trade and worked on the ski patrol at Berthoud Pass. Chuck enjoyed many favorite pastimes and hobbies including, fishing, hiking, tennis, skiing, wood-working, and golf among others. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Lisa. Chuck is survived by his spouse Beverly Colman Schmidt, and son Charles William Schmidt and grand-daughters Lily Ann and Violet Olivia Schmidt. Chuck is also survived by his siblings John Schmidt, Jill Hartman, and Nancy McCann. God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, And saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, He is now at peaceful rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
