Charles E. St. Louis

Charles E. St. Louis, 77, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born February 21, 1935 in Prue, NY the son of the late Eleazer and Helen Begor St. Louis. On August 14, 1957 he married his sweetheart, Betty McGuire, who survives. They shared over fifty four years together. Charles was employed at William Dorn and Son where he worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1998. Mr. St. Louis was very handy and liked to build things. He was extremely creative and no job was too difficult. A man of integrity, he would work all night on a project to ensure it was done right. Charles always put others first and would do anything for anybody. He will be very sadly missed by many. In addition to his beloved wife, Betty St. Louis, Charles is survived by a son, Charles St. Louis of Mayfield; two grandchildren: Jenna Stewart Jason and Jeremy St. Louis Becky; one great grandchild, Wyatt St. Louis; a brother, Victor St. Louis; three sisters: Veronica Rose Raymond, Evelyn Frysdale Paul and Pamela Peterson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: Junior and Bobby and three sisters: Pauline, Connie and Anne. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 17 at 11 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville with Reverend Patrick Gallagher officiating. A solo will be sung by Katrina Frederiksen at the service. Cremation took place at ParkView Crematorium in Schenectady.
