Charles Edward Tipton
September 16th, 1953 - December 14th, 2009
This is in the memory of Charles Edward Tipton, Much better know to everyone as Chuck or even Uncle Chuck. He left us very suddenly on December 14th 2009 at 12:53pm surrounded by many of his family and friends. Chuck was born in Tacoma, Washington to Bennie and Marilla Tipton on September 16th 1953. Both of his parents passed before him. He is survived by his three children April, Shane and DeAnna. His Daughter April is married to Phillip Good of Lawton Oklahoma. They have four children Anthony, Hunter, Chaise and Drew. Shane is married to Tammie of Port Orchard, Washington. They have four children Shawn, Preston, Brittany and Nathaniel. DeAnna is married to Daniel Harrington of Pleasanton, California. They have Three Children Logan, Jett and Shaye. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Hart of University Place, his brother Thomas Handley of Alaska, his Uncle Forest Tipton of Everett. He also had so many other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and an endless supply of people to whom he had a varying effect on. Chuck went to Job Corps in Eastern Washington, in the early 70’s. He was in the army from 1974 to 1975. He was married only once to Cindi Taylor. They parted ways eventually and divorced. Chuck mainly worked Drywall through the years. He was also a mechanic. However he was widely known as a jack of all trades and a master of none. Chuck lived in a variety of places in Washington, from Renton, Kent, Tacoma, Comstock, Bremerton and Fort Lewis. Chucks’ home was in Port Orchard, Washington at the Village Green apartments with whom he lovingly referred to as his Harem. He truly enjoyed his friends there. Chuck lived at times a hard life, but he always got by. He was lucky enough to have his beloved dog Bowtie in his life. He often referred to Bowtie as his other son. Bowtie carried him through so very much. He often said there were more places that he was welcome so long as he brought Bowtie. Bowtie entered Chucks’ life when he most needed a friend and passed on when my father found his family and his way. It was as if Bowtie was Chucks’ Guardian Angel. (Thank god for that!!) Chuck was always ready with witty humor, a good tale to spin, and forever in for a good time! He loved playing Chess and hanging out with one of his best friends Mike. Though he passed much too soon he seemed prepared. He seemed at peace with it: even on the short notice he was given. He wanted nothing more than to have his children by his side and they were. He was lucky enough to also have other family and friends by his side when he passed. As his family we would like to say that our father meant so much to us kids. He meant the world to his grandchildren!! No matter the occasion grandpa would make sure the kids were able to be kids!! Thank you dad for giving each of them that! We all have our memories to carry forever. You will forever be missed and always in our hearts!!!! Love your family…
