One more angel entered into Heaven on June 9, 2022. Charles Lee "Chock" Tomlin was born May 23, 1931 to George W. Tomlin and Viola Tomlin in Heavener, Oklahoma. He was 91. Chock came to California when he was 19 years old. He settled in Arbuckle, where he met and married Wrenetta Mahorney. He was a farmhand for several years. He was inducted into the US Army in January 1953. He spent two years serving his country. Chock worked several jobs after leaving the army. These jobs included farmhand, Hoblit Motors, Schwartz Auto Parts and the telephone company where he spent 30 years. He saw several name changes to the telephone company during his time there. He was a loyal employee and loyal friend. Chock is survived by his wife Wrenetta. They would have been married 70 years on September 14 of this year. Chock was the father to Connie L. Tomlin (Adan), husband Frank, and Cheryl L. Tomlin (Callison), husband Dan. His beloved grandchildren - Emit R. Whiting, Dustin G. Whiting, Miranda M. Sandy, Morgan M. Sandy, Murray M. Sandy, Gary Sandy, and Ronald Sandy. Great-grandchildren - Kelsea R. Whiting, Kody R. Whiting, Robert "Bobby" Nichols, Logan R. Whiting, Riley D. Crocker, and Brycen Crocker. One sister - Frida M. Mahorney who lives in Redding, CA and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, his father George W. Tomlin, mother Viola Tomlin, brothers Willie Stites, Isom Tomlin, and Johnie (Red) Tomlin. Sisters Virginia Gentile, and Clara Washum. Chock's family misses him dearly, but knows he is watching over them from Heaven. Please join us in celebrating the life of this amazing man at the Assembly of God Church in Colusa, California on July 18, 2022 at 11am. There will be a lunch reception immediately following the service.
