December 8th, 1926 - April 9th, 2002
Watterson, Charles L., Jr., of Leechburg, PA, died Tuesday April 9, 2002 at Carrington Place Convalescent Center in St. Petersburg, FL. He had been a winter visitor to St. Petersburg from his native Leechburg, PA since 1992. He retired from the Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Corporation as a Furnace Operator after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Christ the King Church in Leechburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Steel Worker?s Union and the VFW. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Margaret; one son, Christopher, Willow Street, PA; three daughters: Katherine Jones, Maple Glen, PA; Mary Louise Mandello, Cape Coral, FL; and Teresa Russell, Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Those who wish may make contributions in his name to the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
