CHARLIE MADISON MUSSELWHITE WAS BORN IN CORDELE, GEORGIA ON 3 MAY 1932. SADLY, HE LEFT US ON 3 SEPT, 2024 AT THE AGE OF 92. CHARLIE WAS A BELOVED HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, GREAT GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER. AT THE AGE OF 16 CHARLIE LEFT HIS HOMETOWN TO JOIN THE ARMY. CHARLIE SERVED HIS COUNTRY FOR 30 YEARS WITH DISTINCTION. CHARLIE WAS A PROUD PARATROOPER OF THE DISTINGUISHED 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION WHERE HE SERVED 2 TOURS IN VIETNAM IN 65 AND 67. CHARLIE RETIRED IN 1978 AS A CW4 WITH NUMEROUS MILITARY ACCOLADES.LATER IN LIFE, CHARLIE PROVED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN BUSINESS WHERE HE OWNED AND OPERATED CHARLIE’S LAWN SPRINKLER SERVICE FOR 25 YEARS.IF YOU KNEW CHARLIE HE WAS A GOOD MAN, WHO LOVED HIS FAMILY. CHARLIE HAD A TREMENDOUS LOVE FOR HIS ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY HIS DOG BLACKIE. CHARLIE HAD A WIT AND SENCE OF HUMOR THAT WAS UNMATCHED. HE FOUND HIS LOVE FOR RIDING BICYCLES AS A MEMBER OF THE ST. PETE BICYCLE CLUB.HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS SISTER, CAMILLA MITCHELL, DAUGHTER, LINDA GREGOIRE, SON, DANIEL MUSSELWHITE, DAUGHTER IN LAW, PATTI MUSSELWHITE, 5 GRANDKIDS, KEMRIE, CALE, JACQUES, CANDACE, AND VAUGHAN, 12 GREAT GRANDKIDS AND 1 GREAT GREAT GRANDSON. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS PLEASE MAKE DONATIONS TO THE WOUNDED WARRIOR FOUNDATION, FISHER HOUSE OR ANY ALZHEIMER’S FOUNDATION.
