Charlotte Lynne Allen Shelby

Charlotte Lynne Allen Shelby, 69, of Frankfort, Kentucky died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday February 6th at 4:15 pm. Lynne was born on December 26, 1954, in Greenville, Kentucky. She was a 1972 graduate of Greenville High School. Lynne was a kind and loving person and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville for many years, where she enjoyed serving her community and singing in the choir. Lynne was a dedicated employee at Road Builders in Greenville for twenty-seven years. Lynne was a devoted mother and grandmother – her sons and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She relocated to Versailles, Kentucky in 2018 to be closer to family. In recent years, she resided at Dominion Senior Living in Frankfort, Kentucky where she contributed her warm energy as a hospitality volunteer, alongside her beloved dog Gizmo. She is survived by two sons, Bradford Shelby (Jennifer) of Versailles, Kentucky and Daniel Shelby (Rachel) of Dickson, Tennessee, and two grandchildren Ella (14) and Elias (12) Shelby of Versailles, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by husband, Barry Shelby, and her parents James Allen and Marjorie Dukes Allen. A private graveside memorial will be held in Greenville at a later date.
