Charlotte Catherine Beyke
August 27th, 2002 - April 17th, 2021
Charlotte Catherine Beyke was born on a beautiful summer morning on August 27, 2002. She grew up in Claremont California and was a joyful and energetic child. She loved climbing trees, going to the ocean, and being outside in nature. Charlotte attended 12 years of Catholic school. Our Lady of the Assumption School in Claremont, and Pomona Catholic Girls High School in Pomona. In spite of a heart condition, Charlotte excelled in academics and art. She was in theatre, a cheerleader and made the varsity tennis team her freshman year of high school. She was on the Pomona Catholic speech and debate team for four years. She was an honor roll student and participated in many volunteer activities. During high school, Charlotte worked at Edible Arrangements in the Claremont Village Packing House. Charlotte had a deep affection for her family, friends and animals. She enjoyed spending time at Disneyland, the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena, and Crystal Cove Beach. Charlotte wanted to experience all that life had to offer. She chose Chico State University for the small town feel and the wide open spaces. She was absolutely in love with her life in Chico. In college she flourished, embracing adventure and freedom. Charlotte, although abundantly open to all of life's prospects, maintained a talent for art and declared an art major. Paintings of oranges, mountains, story-book cottages, and mythical characters filled her sketchbooks. She saw beauty all around her and embraced the simple gifts of daily life. She is survived by her grieving family who loves her so deeply. Her father, Joseph Michael Beyke; her mother, Janet Major Beyke; her sister, Claire Ingrid Beyke (20); and her brother Phillip Anthony Jimenez (33). Charlotte will be missed by her extended family members who love and adore her. She also has many friends that will never forget the love she brought into their lives. Her family, lifelong friends, and treasured new friends will carry her joyful and gentle presence in their hearts. Charlotte passed away gently in her sleep of natural causes on April 17th, 2021. She is a beautiful soul who led a beautiful life. Charlotte will have a memory grave site in the Chico cemetery where her family and friends may visit. Charlottes Celebration of Life service will take place in late June 2021 in Claremont CA.
