Charlotte Angela Carter went to be with her heavenly father on January 12, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born to Olen and Virdie Hughes on October 26, 1945 in Miami, Florida. Olen was in the Navy and was stationed in many places. She ended up in San Diego, CA. She graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1963. The same year she met and married Robert Jesse Carter on June 19, 1963 in Carson City, NV. They had their first child Robert Jesse Jr. in December 1963. They lived at Chula Vista, San Diego from 1965-1966 where Bob worked at Rhoer Air Craft. They moved from there and lived in Lemon Grove, then to Garden Grove in 1967. In Garden Grove they had two more sons, Kenneth Michael and Luke Raymond. They then moved to Caldwell, Idaho in 1974 where they stayed. Charlotte worked as a Certified Nurses Aid from 1973 until 1990 with most of that work at the Caldwell Care Center. In 1990 she went to work at Amalgamated Sugar Company and worked there till her retirement in 2006. She loved camping, gardening, square dancing, crocheting, playing cards, games, and traveling. She was especially fond of going on cruises. She went to Alaska, Hawaii, Panama, New England, and Canada. She especially loved to take care of and spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Virdie, and her sisters Marylin and Shirley. She leaves behind her loving husband Bob, a sister Marcia (Frank) Cecil, a brother Mike (Candy) Hughes, three sons, Robert Carter Junior, Kenneth (Rob) Carter, and Luke (Elizabeth) Carter, six grandchildren, Jessica (Juan) Balderaz, Rebecca Carter, Isaac Carter, Cassandra Carter, Stephen Carter and Andrea Carter and one great grandchild Addisyn Ann Balderaz. Cremation is under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Services will be at the Nampa Church of Christ Monday, January 16 at 2:00 P.M. Flowers can be sent to the Nampa Church of Christ and memorials are accepted through Flahiff Funeral Chapel. Service Information
