Charlotte P. Dowd, long time resident of Falls Church for over sixty years, passed away at 95 after a brief illness. Wife of Francis A. Dowd (deceased) mother of Patrick F. Dowd, Ph.D; sister of Virgil Leo Printz (deceased), Elizabeth Printz Gile (deceased), Mary Printz Shaeffer (deceased), Minnie Printz (deceased), Christine Printz Redmon, Harry Elmo Printz, Kenneth Printz, James Printz, Joe Printz; aunt of several nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Past teacher, and records worker at the CIA and Falls Church Medical Center. Enjoyed reading and gardening. Her flowering azaleas, roses, and other ornamentals graced Jefferson Avenue in Jefferson Village for many years. The Dowd family will receive friends at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Va on Monday, October 27 from 9am until the time of service at 10am. Interment National Memorial Park.
