Charlotte Ann Dykes
March 11th, 1951 - March 23rd, 2022
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” Charlotte Ann Dykes 71, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a beautician in Church Hill for over 30 years. Charlotte was a devoted member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was an avid collector of angels but her greatest joy was her grandchildren who “she loved to the moon and back”. Charlotte was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jerry Dykes; son, David Dykes; parents, June and Kathleen Trent; brother-in-law, Stanley Snapp. She is survived by her; son, Daniel Dykes (Carrie); step-son, Scottie Dykes (Lisa) grandchildren, Dillon Dykes, Dakota Dykes, Breanna Dykes and Devan Dykes; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Delta Snapp, Connie Rutledge and husband Gale, and Lisa Perry; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Church Hill. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Earl Dunn and Pastor Chris Castle officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Breanna Dykes, Devan Dykes, Mark Snapp, Jacob Perry, Travis Birchfield, and Matthew Perry. All those wishing to go in procession are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Dykes family.
