Charlotte H. Hagerman

Mrs. Charlotte H. Hagerman, 95, of Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday November 28, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in Amsterdam, NY on April 1, 1928 a daughter of the late Leon and Sophie Metz Korona. Charlotte was raised in the area and attended local schools. She worked for a time at the former Lurie's Department Store in Amsterdam. She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers and could help make anything bloom. She also enjoyed walking and socializing at breakfast. Charlotte always had a smile. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Survivors include her daughter, Leona Taylor. Nieces and nephews, Lisa (Art) Iannuzzi, Paul Korona, Stephanie Cole, Gary Cross, Ken Cross and Charlene Cross. Several cousins, Gloria Cross, Leonard Korona, Jerry Korona, Ronald Korona, Robert Korona, Sr. Mary Edna, Sandy Zaleski and sister-in-law, Patricia Korona. Great-nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Korona, Cousins, Raymond Korona, Henry "Hank" Zaleski, and Niece, Linda(Gerald) Bush. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday December 2, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the funeral service to begin at 11:00AM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. presiding. Interment is private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
