Mrs. Charlotte C. Whitman Jenkins, age 83, widow of the late Franklin N Jenkins, Jr., of Charleston, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014. Mrs. Jenkins was born on August 9, 1930, in Kingstown, NC, to the late George Wilson Whitman and the late Milda Louise Coker. Mrs. Jenkins was a retired Realtor. Survivors include her daughter, Josh Jenkins Logan (Katherine) of Troy, Michigan; sisters, Patricia Ann Whitman Stewart (George) of Charleston; Betty Lou Whitman Benson (Wayne) of Forest, VA; Connie Lambert Sharpe (Steve) of Winston-Salem, NC; and a brother, George Wilson Whitman, Jr. (Clara) of Garner, NC and 12 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews and 6 great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jenkins is predeceased by her son, Cecil T. Jenkins and her brother, Jesse Retious Whitman. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
