Cherie Lynn Bruderer, Our dear, sweet Cherie - "Bear" passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 5, 2016 while on a Labor Day weekend camping trip with family and friends at Lost Valley Reservoir. This place was very special to her because it was her dad's favorite hunting and fishing spot for the last 40 years. The family spent most Memorial & Labor Day weekends there. We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and just the love of family, so it seems appropriate that she was able to enjoy this place up until she went to be with her father again. Cherie was such a special soul who loved family and the great outdoors. She was fishing from the time she could walk and hunting as soon as possible. In the last few years she was not able to do this as much as she would like but she never forgot that time. She loved the outdoors so much that often - summer or winter - she would be in the backyard with a fire going and just spending the evening sleeping outside by the fire. Even when she was young, she would run to help our dad with outside chores but inside chores were not something that she was ever fond of. Cherie spent her last years living with her parents and working hard to help them with their acre property and at her job at Motive Power in Boise building trains. It was a lot of work, especially when her dad was struggling with his cancer. After her dad passed away she did everything she could to take care of the property and took extra special care of her mother. Cherie is survived by her mother, Fay Bruderer, sister Julie (Kelley) Smith, sister Debora Uhl, brother Glen (Kathi) Bruderer and very special friend and companion Valerie Smith. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles as she was blessed with a huge family tree and heritage (her father's family had 15 children and her mother's family had 9 children) so there were always family gatherings. We did not have time to say goodbye to this precious soul but she was so loved and she will live in our hearts forever and always. There will be a graveside service held at the Canyon Hill Cemetery on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:00 am. Service Information
