February 20th, 1971 - May 6th, 2017
Cheryl Lynne Atkins, 46, went home to be with the Lord May 6, 2017. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 3:00PM Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church with Pastor Nate Kingsbury and Rev. Phil Kirkman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. A native of Guilford County, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Clifton Colon Atkins and Ronda Sherry Newell Atkins who survives. Cheryl’s passion besides her family were her cats and love for all animals. Survivors include her daughter Ciara Lynne Atkins of the home; mother Ronda Atkins of the home; brother Allen Dale Atkins and Heather of Stokesdale; nephew Daniel Atkins of Stokesdale; nieces Courtney Atkins of Stokesdale, Angel Throckmorton of Walnut Cove, and Ashley Briggs of Oak Ridge; and a host of extended family and friends.
