Cheryl Lea Jones

May 9th, 1963 - March 26th, 2024

Cheryl L. Jones, 60, of Loveland went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 26th 2024, at Columbine Commons Health and Rehab in Windsor, Colorado following a courageous battle with cancer.

Celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Friday April 5th, at Bent Tree Church in Loveland, Colorado. Pastor Paul Trimble will officiate. Gathering of family and friends will be from 11-12 PM at Bent Tree Church followed by a burial ceremony at Foothills Gardens of Memory.

Cheryl was born May. 9, 1963, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Larry and Gwendolyn (Strachan) Hassler.

Cheryl has always been a responsible, loving, silly, faithful, and dedicated woman. Her memory is cherished by the many friends and family she so greatly enriched the lives of. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bryan, her daughter Carolyn, three sons and daughter’s in-law, Brennan and Jamie Jones of Longmont, Oliver & Andrea of Koloa, HI, Elliot & Clara of Colorado Springs; her mother Gwendolyn Hassler of York, NE; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Lonnie Berger of York, NE; and sister Amy Holyfield of Seattle, WA; her brothers and sisters in-law Tom & Barbara Jones, Kevin & Chris Jones, Derek & Kim Jones, and Trevor Jones; and her trusty corgi Frank.

Also left to cherish her memory is her newborn grandson, Arthur Lea Jones. Born in mid-March 2024. He shares his middle name with his grandma Cheryl.

Cheryl was welcomed into heaven by her father Larry, sister Cindy, and son Phillip.

Cheryl graduated from Cheyenne High School, class of 1981 and studied psychology at the University of Wyoming. In 1985, Cheryl followed the call of the Lord to become a youth director at a church in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

On August 13, 1987, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bryan Jones. They lived in Great Falls, Montana where they raised their beautiful children over 20 years. In her time in Montana, Cheryl was a prominent member of the Christian Women’s' Association and a very active member of The First Alliance Church where she and Bryan helped lead worship for many years. They moved to Sidney, Nebraska in 2010. In their time in Sidney, Cheryl worked for the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce as a Program Director, the Executive Director of Keep Sidney Beautiful, and as a Corporate Outfitter for Cabela’s. In 2018, Bryan and Cheryl started an Agricultural Recruiting franchise just prior to moving to Loveland, Colorado.

Cheryl and Bryan never stopped chasing their lifelong passion for sharing the word of the Lord and their music with the world. Across their years together, Bryan and Cheryl worked tirelessly to record and produce dozens of self-written songs together. Their love for the Lord and their family is forever memorialized by their music.

Cheryl enjoyed reading, gourmet cooking, celebrating at any possible chance, and singing. Most of all, Cheryl enjoyed being a fearless and faithful daughter, wife, mother, and best friend.

Memorials are suggested to the Bent Tree Church.
