Cheryl G. McDonald

April 15th, 1952 - August 4th, 2024

Cheryl McDonald, 72, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at NHC Lexington. She was born on April 15, 1952 in Worland, Wyoming to Ruth A. Ketten and John F. Gardner.

 

Cheryl truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; she regularly enjoyed watching Westerns, collecting owl figurines and spending time with her family. Cheryl was full of spunk and was a “bless your heart” kind of person. 

 

Those to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lara McLaurin, Cretia Beasley and son, Tokee Robertson (Tammy), grandchildren, Macey McLaurin, Hannah Robertson, Chloe Beasley, Logan Robertson, Loudan Robertson, and Ryland Beasley. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Jerry D. Gardner (Theresa) Randy A. Gardner (Danielle) Linda C. Pender, Stephen N. Gardner, Jaime L. Ketten (Tina), Teresa A. Higgins (Patrick) and David C. Ketten along with a host of nieces, nephews and caring friends that she loved as family.

 

She was predeceased by her father, John Gardner, her mother, Ruth Ketten, stepfather, Vernon Ketten, brother, Joseph  F. Gardner, sister, Kathryn D. Whetsell, brother-in-law, Francis Whetsell, nephew, Corey Whetsell and sons-in-law, Pat McLaurin and Ross Beasley.

 

At Cheryl's request, there will be no service.
