Chris "aka Chris Hill Deits" Allen Deits

Chris Allen Deits (aka Chris Hill Deits) was born on September 26th, 1930 and passed away on March 10th, 2024 at the age of 93 due to complications from Alzheimer's.  Chris was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and grew up in Trinidad, Colorado.    He attended Trinidad Junior College earning an associate degree and then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming.  While in college, he met his wife Betty Inglis, and they were married February 28th, 1954.  He served in the Army for two years and then relocated to Broomfield, Colorado where he worked for Empire Savings and Loan.  He retired in 1986 and spent summers fishing at his cabin in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado and winters golfing and playing tennis in Sun City, Arizona.  After Betty passed away in 1999, he married Doris Gregory and lived in Sun City, Arizona until her passing in 2021.  He moved back to Colorado to be near his children.   He was preceded in death by his father Chris A. Deits, mother Helen Mittendorf Deits and brother Wilbur Deits.  Chris is survived by his sister Sandy Burgman of Vinita, Oklahoma; children and spouses: Karen and Dan Carlson of Eaton, Colorado; Steve and Kathy Deits of Broomfield, Colorado; and Scott and Linda Deits of Littleton, Colorado.   He had eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  Chris will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
