Christina Creighan

Christina passed away at her home in Jackson, CA on August 18, 2012. Christina was born on December 22,1915 in Ballyduff, Ireland to Richard and Mary Tobin. She married Tommy Creighan in Ireland in January, 1946. They emigrated to the United States in 1949, along with their infant daughters, Mary and Bernadette. They eventually settled in Long Beach, CA, where Patricia and Coleen were born. Christina was widowed in 1961. She raised her four girls in Long Beach where she worked at St. Mary's Hospital in the Medical Records Dept. for 18 years. She retired in 1978 and moved to Reno, NV. for a short time, then moved to Jackson, CA in 1980 where she remained until her death. She lived in Ashland, OR. for 4 years in between that time. Christina is survived by her daughters Mary Klawitter (Dale), Ione, CA. Bernadette Creighan, Jackson, CA. Patricia Creighan-York (Jim), Ashland, OR. Coleen Sanders-Peyovich (Mike), Snohomish, WA. She has eight grandchildren. Erin, Marica, Eric, Matthew, Tobyn, Kiely, Terah and Jeff. She has eleven great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and gambling. We love you and we will miss your smiling Irish eyes. There will be a Mass celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, CA on Saturday, September 1 at ll:00AM. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of Amador and the Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County.
