Christina Joann Whittington, 35, went home to be with her Lord on Friday January 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday February 4, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church, 1548 Old Hollow Road Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Styers. Christina was born September 20, 1981 to Gary Whittington and the late Cheryl Lynn Miller in Forsyth County, NC. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Ann Miller; paternal grandparents, Bobby Whittington and Betty Snyder. Survived by her father, Gary Whittington and wife Lisa of King, NC; brothers, Matthew Whittington and wife Amber of Farmville, NC, Brandon, Brett, Brady and Bryan Whittington of King, NC; sisters, Stacy Whittington and Jason Richards of Graham, NC, Amanda Whittington of King, NC; paternal step-grandfather, Arnold Snyder of Kernersville, NC; uncles Andy Miller of Kernersville, NC, Dale Whittington and wife Karen of Winston Salem, NC, Barry Whittington and wife Sheri of Kernersville, NC and Harold Snyder and wife Robin of King, NC; niece, Emily Whittington and many beloved cousins. Christina had a kind heart and a special love for animals. She considered them her babies.
