Our loving Daughter, Sister, and Mother Chris Allen passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2022, in her home in Parma Idaho. She was born to Carlton “Pete” Somdahl, and Margaret Cecilia Somdahl (Junglas) on 27 May 1955 in Corona California. Chris married Greg Speed 1973-78 Dan Mosier 79-85 and in 1988 married the love of her life Bill Joe Allen who preceded her in death on 19 October 2000. Chris was survived by her mother Margaret “Marge;” siblings: Shari Grant Roscher, Jon D Somdahl, Richard E Somdahl, Russell P Somdahl, Donna L Cooke; children: Lance Speed, Jennifer Fuselier (Speed), Josh Mosier, and stepchildren, Jeremy Allen and Tarah Young (Allen); 15 grandchildren Tyler Conley, Dakota Conley, Tristan Speed, Tannar Speed, Trinity Speed, Tallea Speed, Myra Mosier, Judith Mosier, Aaron Mosier, Linnea Mosier, Ashton Allen, Landen Allen, Chleo Young, Gabi Young, Sydney Young. Mom leaves behind many friends and family that will miss her loving, and commanding presence, her zest for life and willingness to always help others before herself. Chris loved her dogs, spending time in the mountains, and working her farm. She never stopped working. Her life encircled her love of her Heavenly Father, and 40 plus years doing Genealogy. The last 20 years Chris has spent nearly every waking moment with her best friend and mother “Marge” each of them taking care of each other, laughing and loving one another. The two of them inseparable in life. In 1984 Chris and her children moved to Boise Idaho, she lived in Idaho City area, and eventually settling down in Parma. The Family is having funeral arrangements done by Flahiff Funeral Chapels with Funeral service held at 11am, Friday February 11, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 307 E Andrews Ave Parma, Idaho. Interment will be postponed until May due to weather in Idaho City.
