Beers and Story - Belchertown
Christine H. McClain
August 18th, 1961 - February 1st, 2017
"South Hadley- Christine H. McClain, 55, of South Hadley, passed away on February 1, 2017. She was the wife of her soul mate, her heart, her everything, Michael E. McClain, who passed away on February 18, 2015. They had been married since June 23, 1990. She was born on August 18, 1961 at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in North Carolina, and lived in South Hadley most of her life. She was the daughter of John and Juanita (Savard) Majeran . Christine was a driver for Hulmes Transportation until she lost her beloved husband, whom she adored, due to illness. She then followed her dream to travel with her companion, Genaro "Gino" Timoneda, to Miami and elsewhere. Christine was an outgoing, one of a kind, great to joke with, fun individual. She lived in Miami for a temporary time, until she was diagnosed with stage 4 bone and lung cancer, which had spread rapidly throughout her body. Her parents had her air transported back to Massachusetts by the great staff of Grace on Wings. She resided at Wingate until her illness took its claim on her life. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Wingate for the compassionate care they gave to Christine. In addition to her parents John and Juanita, and her companion Genaro, Christine is survived by her son Ashley Jordan; daughters Charissa and Jessica Majeran; her many loving grandchildren, Tatum, Draike, Michael, Korbin, Arianna, Jaiden, Adam, and Sophia; supportive siblings, brother Gerard "Gerry" Majeran, and sister Janina Majeran; and her biological father Gerard Lebeau. Christine will be missed by many, and will be remembered for her favorite sayings, "I'm the number 1," "Just saying," and "Go big or go home, baby." Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 3:00-5:30 PM at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., concluding with a service at 5:30. Following cremation, burial will be held on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040. "
