Christine Elizabeth Preston Hancock “Kiki”, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Wife of the late John Timothy Hancock, Chris was born November 6, 1946, to the late Harry F. Preston and the late Grace Ann Preston in Detroit, Michigan. Chris grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, attending Pioneer High School, Olivet College and Eastern Michigan University where she received her degree in Art. She was a talented artist with a special interest in jewelry making. Chris met her late husband, Tim, while working at Texas Instruments and after retiring they enjoyed many years running their business, Raintree Gallery in Versailles. In her free time, Chris liked to sew and knit, travel and attend plays with her friends. She loved all animals, but especially dogs and elephants. Chris did not shy away from adventure over the years, going on Segway tours, zip-lining and swimming with dolphins. Chris is survived by her sisters, Ann Annis of Michigan, Judy Holman of Louisville, and Polly (Dick) Richards of Goshen; her brothers, David (Mary) Preston of Michigan and Bob (Maria) Preston of Michigan; her stepdaughters, Andrea (Herman) Johnson and Sally Hancock; a stepson, John (Michelle) Hancock; and her step grandchildren, Hayden Hancock, Jesse Hancock, and Matthew Johnson. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:30p until 6:30p on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY, with a Time of Sharing to begin at 6:30p.
