Christine M. Ryan

Christine M. (Berard) Ryan, 70, of Granby, MA passed away November 19, 2023, at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1953, in Saint-Jean-sur- Richelieu, Quebec, Canada to Leon and Yvette (Lussier) Berard. Christine moved from Canada as a child and was raised in South Hadley and lived there for many years before moving to Granby where she lived for the last 33 years. In 2017, she retired from Encharter Insurance Agency formerly known as Blair, Cutting & Smith Ins. in Amherst where she worked as an insurance processor for 20 years. Christine loved spending time at Hampton Beach, camping at Lake George and cheering on her grandsons at various sporting events. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Richard "Rick" Ryan of Granby, two children, Carrie Kusnierz (Josh) and Tim Ryan (Renee Fletcher), five precious grandsons, Aiden, Anthony, Jackson, Brayden and Jamie. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her husband, children, and grandchildren. They were the star of the show from the very beginning. She loved them to the moon and back. She is also survived by her siblings, Gary, Suzi, Laurie and April all of Canada. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Richard. Loved by everyone around her. Christine (Chris) was the heart of her family, and left us with her precious gift, her love. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
