Christine Hindberg White passed away at her home on August 30, 2021. Chris was born on January 24, 1945 to Ray & Gladys Hindberg. She was raised in Caldwell where she attended school. After graduating from Caldwell High School, she took science and medical classes from multiple institutions in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington states. She started her career with West Valley Medical Center in 1976 until retirement in 2016 at the age of 71. Chris worked in medical records and was loved and appreciated by everyone at the hospital. She always had a way of making them feel that she cared about them. Chris married Robert Ascherfeld and they had three children: Michael, Christopher and Heather. Her family will always remember her as caring, intelligent, supportive, and very strong-willed. Her independence and strength throughout her life made her a true role model to her children and by all that knew her. Chris is survived by her husband, Howard White of Boise and her two children, Christopher Ascherfeld of Nampa and Heather Bloom (Dan) of Nampa. She is also survived by her sister, Kaye Frerichs and six grandchildren: Joseph, Devon, Damien, Dylan Keri and Aiden. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dolores Peterson and her son, Michael Ascherfeld. The family wishes to thank St. Alphonsus Home Health & Hospice and Chris & Michelle Stoddard for all their care and love. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00am at the Middleton LDS Stake Center at 23644 Old Hwy 30, Caldwell, ID 83605. Interment will be at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
