Christine R. (Emig) Wise “Gamma Mikey” taken from us on 6/27 surrounded by her entire family and many friends. Christine was an unselfish and loving women that lived for her family and grandchildren. The experience of being a grandmother was the highlight of her life. She loved to laugh and spend time at the ocean with her loving husband Gordy. Christine was born and raised in Tacoma in a close and loving family. Graduated from Lincoln HS in 1969. Christine worked her whole life in the eye care services and enjoyed her work. Christine was preceded in death by her father Thaddeus “Mike” Emig Sr., mother Monica (Kerrigan) Emig and brother Thaddeus Emig Jr.. Survived by her husband Gordy; brother Craig (Barbie) Emig; 3 daughters, DeAnna (Mike) Boltz, Nicky Peterson, Melissa (Mike) Smerer; 4 grandsons, Mikey, Carter-bug, Logan, Kody; 2 step-children, Nick and Vanessa Wise; 2 life long friends, Darla Jensen, Michelle Frasier. Rosary to be held 7PM Monday, 7/6 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 424 S. 30th St., Tacoma, WA 98402. Graveside service to be held 1PM Tuesday 7/7 at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 70th St. W., Tacoma, WA 98467. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
