Christopher "Chris" Alan Cowart

Mr. Christopher Alan Cowart, age 54 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Florida Hospital Orlando. Mr. Cowart was born June 6, 1964 in Leesburg, Florida to Woodrow Ben and June (McLain) Cowart. He was a Polk County resident for the past 23 years coming from Leesburg. Chris was a Truck Driver for R & L Carries for 16 ½ years and a member of the Frist Church of God Hwy 92 in Winter Haven. Chris enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, the beach and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law & mother- in-law. Chris is survived by his loving & devoted family, Wife of 22 years: Angie Cowart of Auburndale, Florida,Son: Cameron Ben (Catherine) Cowart of Lamoure, California, 3 Daughters: Shannon Cowart of Leesburg, Florida, Shelby (Patrick) Strawn of Winter Haven, Florida, Brooke Cowart of Auburndale, Florida, 2 Brothers: Joey (Amanda) Cowart of Indiana, Daryl Cowart of Leesburg, Florida, Sister: Cheryl (Rocky) Evans of Wildwood, Florida, Aunt: Ruth McLain of Deland, Florida, 2 Granddaughters: Alayna and Zalyce. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida, 33823.
