On the morning of September 22, 2015, our Lord called Christopher David Morse home. Chris was twenty seven years old and was born August 29, 1988, in Tacoma, Washington. Chris was called away in his sleep and is now in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. He was the first-born son of Brian and Gwen Morse. Chris was a gentle soul who loved so many things this life had to offer. He loved his family, friends, and church family – Life Center Ministries. A big smile and a loud story always followed him. He loved animals and if possible would have had many pets. His passions were many including family, friends, security work and Star Trek. He loved the idea of making this world a safer place by being a security officer. Chris loved Star Trek because the thought of traveling the heavens was a freeing one. Chris had many discussions debating who was the better Starship Captain Kirk or Captain Jean- Luc Picard. We were proud to be his family here on earth. What a joy and blessing he was not only to his family, but to all who knew him. My dear Son- You are finally at peace – We all love you. This Remembrance would not be complete without mentioning how much he loved the Seattle Seahawks. Wearing # 25 – Chris was definitely a 12th Fan. Chris is survived by his father Brian Morse and wife Theresa, his mother Gwen Morse (Hawkins), brother Matthew Morse, step-brother Corey Stephenson, and step-sister Ashley Copple (husband Brad). Paternal grandparents “Nana & Papa” Beverly and Jim Denney, Maternal grandparents Paul and Dixie Hawkins, Aunt Vonnie & Uncle Rick Sutherlin , Uncle Steve and Aunt Kathy Morse, Aunt Jeanne Hawkins, Uncle Scott Hawkins, Scott’s children Marcail, Kyle, and Kacy. Chris absolutely adored his Cousins Kaela Hixson (husband Alex) and Jesse Sutherlin as they grew up together. Public viewing will be Monday September 28th 2015 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Edwards Memorial 11020 S. Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499. CELEBRATION OF LIFE – MEMORIAL - Will be Monday October 5, 2015, at 3:30 pm at Life Center Ministries, 1717 S Union Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405, and a reception will immediately follow in the foyer. In Lieu of Flowers, please consider making a donation to your Local Law enforcement memorial fund. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
