Christopher James Saunders passed away peacefully at Valley Medical Center, Renton at the age of 77. Chris was born in Gillingham, England to Dorothy (Lusted) Saunders and Leslie Saunders. He immigrated to the USA at the age of 11 and later became a citizen. He graduated from Rainier Beach Highschool in 1962 and then enrolled in Edison (Seattle community college) to become a Sheet metal Journeyman. He was a Sheet Metal Journeyman thru local 66 for 35 years. While in high school, he met and married his high school sweetheart of 55 years, Karala (Tilton) Saunders. His passion during his life was his family, weightlifting, boating, and family vacations. He loved and cherished his family more than anything in the world! Chris is survived by His wife Karala (Tilton) Saunders, two daughters, Angela and her husband Jeff Knisley and Shannon Watson all of Renton, and four grandchildren, Nick and Connor Biwer and Shane and wife Daniella Watson, and Tori Watson and four great-grandchildren, Serenity, Jadon, Arianny, and Emery. He will be loved and missed greatly until we join him in heaven someday! Due to COVID-19 safety measures, there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Remembrances may be sent to a charity of your choice.
