Christy Lou Riggs Hendrickson
February 13th, 1963 - April 7th, 2016
Christy Lou Riggs Hendrickson, 53, was called home to be with her Lord on April 7, 2016, at her home in Council, ID after a brave battle with cancer. Chris was born Feb. 13, 1963 to Bob and Sue Riggs in Ontario, OR. She grew up in her hometown, Fruitland, ID, where she made numerous lifelong friends. Chris started work at Ore-Ida Foods at a young age. Later she went to work for Union Pacific Railroad where she met her soul-mate Dale. Chris and Dale loved hunting, fishing and spending time at their home in Council, ID. No one went through the town of Council without Chris knowing! Chris is survived by her husband Dale Hendrickson; mother Martha Sue Riggs; grandpa Bennie Langley; brother Bobby (Teresa) Riggs; sister Cindy (Mike) Fortin; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Sue Riggs and her father, Bob Riggs. The family would like to give special thanks to Heart �n Home Hospice in Fruitland, ID. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice in the name of Chris Hendrickson, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 15th at the Old Fruitland High School Community Center, 540 S.W. 3rd St., Fruitland, ID.
