Claire E. Allen

Allen, Claire E., 86, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday February 14, 2001 at Edward White Hospital. Born in South Boston, Massachusetts, she came here in 1997 from Sandwich, Massachusetts. She taught piano lessons for 60 years in Sandwich, Massachusetts and Milton, Massachusetts and was a church organist at St. Kevin?s Catholic Church in Dorchester, Massachusetts, St. Angela?s Catholic Church in Milton, Massachusetts and for the last 15 years at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sandwich, Massachusetts. She was an accompanist for the Milton, Massachusetts Choral Society and was the organist at Otis Air Force Base Chapel in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She was also a real estate agent in Sandwich. She loved gardening and crossword puzzles. She was a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. Survivors include cousins, Diane E. Burns of St. Petersburg, Gordon I. Peterson of Springfield, Virginia, Chris Peterson of Long Island, New York, Kathleen Raymond of Yarmouthport, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Michael Burns, Isabelle Burns, Patrick Burns, Mary Burns and Kalleen Rose Ozanic, all of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Laura Peterson of England. There will be a memorial mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, East Sandwich, Cape Cod, on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 1:00 pm.
