Claire I. Blanchard

Claire Irene Blanchard, 92, of Chicopee passed away peacefully April 8, 2020. She was born on June 20, 1927 in Chicopee to the late Oreas H. and Emelina (Carriveau) Paul. Claire loved to crochet, read romance novels and listen to her favorite country music artists. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed the time they spent together. She is now rejoined with her beloved husband, Eugene J. Blanchard, who preceded her in death in 1997. Besides her parents, Claire was also preceded in death by her son Thomas, her brothers William and Franklin Paul, and her sister Elaine Sicotte. She is survived by her brother, Edward Paul, and sisters, Barbara Germain and Shirley Blanchard. Claire will be forever missed by her daughter-in-law, Patricia (Sicotte) Paul, grandsons, Jonathan Paul and wife Catherine, Adam Paul and wife Caitlin, and Shawn Paul and life partner Maria Tucker, and a grand daughter, Michelle Hennessey-Hogan. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas, Michael, Declan, Owen, Gabrielle, Alexis and many nieces and nephews. Out of concern for everyone's health, Funeral Services are being held at the family's discretion.
