Claire M Daniels

Belchertown-Claire M. (Alix) Daniels, 89 passed away January 9, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Born March 11, 1932 in Holyoke, she was the daughter of Albert and Eva (Roy) Alix. Claire raised her family and lived for most of her life in Belchertown. For many years, she worked for DDS as a caregiver. Claire was an active communicant of St. Thomas Church, being a eucharist minister and singing in the Good Good News Choir. She also volunteered her time as an aide in the Belchertown Schools along with at Wing Memorial Hospital. She was part of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW also in Belchertown. In 2001, Claire was predeceased by her husband, Arthur L. Daniels, Sr. Her memory will long be cherished by their children, Michael and Cathy Daniels of Belchertown, Arthur Jr and Arlene Daniels of Ware, Thomas and Lori Daniels of Monson, Paul Daniels and Merrill Champlin of Granby, John Daniels of Palmer, James and Amy Daniels of Southampton, Linda Daniels of Ware, and Judith Daniels of Palmer as well as daughter-in-law, Marilyn Daniels of Belchertown. In 1968, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy and in 2014 by her son, Dennis. Claire also leaves her brother, Roger Alix, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Pearl Geedy, her sister, also predeceased her. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St Thomas Church in Palmer. Kindly meet directly at the church.
