Claire R. Drinkhaus Services will be Thursday for Claire R. Drinkhaus who passed away September 5, 2011 at a local convalescent hospital. She was 84. Claire was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of Frank and Hattie Reitberg. She was raised in Brighton Beach and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Brooklyn. In 1949 Claire married Morris Drinkhaus and in 1989 the couple moved to Santa Cruz where she has lived since. She was a former member of TOPS and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting and reading. She is survived by her daughters, Paulette Hogan of Santa Cruz and Estelle Davey of Corralitos; her sister, Lee Finkelstein of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Drinkhaus in 1993. A graveside service will be held at Home of Peace Cemetery on Thursday September 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
