Claire E. Fournier
October 7th, 1923 - February 24th, 2015
"Granby - Claire E. (Landry) Fournier, 91, of Batchelor St., passed away at home, surrounded by her family on February 24, 2015. She was born October 7, 1923 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Walter and Mary L. (Nadeau) Landry. She was a life long resident of Granby and coached baseball for many years. Claire retired from the Belchertown State School. She loved collect and fix things, and was know to the family as Mrs. Fix It.. She will be remembered for her strong will and her caring ear to family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Roger "Tony" Fournier of Granby. She also leaves three children, Dean Fournier and Susan of Pensacola, FL, Mark Fournier and Michelle of Westfield and Kerry Fournier and Catherine of South Hadley along with her eight grandchildren, Scott, Samantha, Sarah, Genevieve, David, Marissa, Dean, Emmalee and a great granddaughter Grace. Her brother, Gerald Landry and his wife Estelle of Belchertown also survive her. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank her loving caregiver, Grace Scott, who with love and tireless energy saw to Claire's needs for the past year. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Brenda and brothers, Robert and Roger Landry. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 26, from 4:00-6:30 p.m at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
