"Claire L. (Jette) Hogan, 78, of Harvard St, died Saturday at home surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Springfield, August 6, 1925, she grew up in Chicopee, and moved to S. Hadley in 1951. Claire worked for Ren Electronics in S. Hadley and Connective Technologies in Chicopee for many years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and enjoyed traveling. She was also active at the S. Hadley Senior Center. Mrs. Hogan was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, James E Hogan in 1992, as well as a son Mark R. Hogan in 1994. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Gary A. and his wife Peggy, Dennis E. and his wife Cindy and Lynn Roberts and her husband Larry all of S. Hadley, as will as Mary Kough and her husband Leslie of Holyoke. Claire also leaves a brother Ronald Jette of Agawam and a sister Fleurette Fournier of Chicopee, along with her seven grandchildren Adam, Ashley, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kelly, James and Justin, and one great granddaughter, Alyssa. She also leaves her lifelong best friend, Rosemary Fleming of S. Hadley. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Calling hours have been omitted. Those wishing may make donations in her memory to Baystate Visiting Nurse Assoc. & Hospice, Box 9058, Springfield, 01102-9058. Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. "
