Claire Theresa Pinsonnault

Claire Theresa (Cloutier) Pinsonnault, daughter of Germaine and Napolean Cloutier of Springfield Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2019 at the age of 85 surrounded by her loving family. Claire, who received her citizenship at the age of 71, immigrated to the United States from Montreal Canada at the age of 17. It was then she met her neighbor and love of her life Aurel J. (AJ) Pinsonnault. She said she fell in love with him the moment he spoke French to her. Together, they raised two loving children; Shirley A. (Pinsonnault) Matrow and Gary Pinsonnault. Claire and AJ resided in Palmer, MA until 2001 when they moved to Brevard County, FL. Everyone knew Claire as a fun-loving, friend, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a joyful spirit who loved life, family and laughter. She is predeceased by her parents as named above; her son Gary Pinsonnault of Idaho; her sisters Bertha Smith and Lucielle Cavros of Springfield, MA; her brothers Johnny and Roland Cloutier of Canada; and son-in-law Bill Matrow formerly of Monson, MA. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Aurel J. Pinsonnault age 92 of Viera, FL; Brother William Cloutier of Texas, daughter Shirley Matrow and her partner Roland Gagne of Viera, FL; grandchildren Jason Pinsonnault and spouse Trang Huynh of Lake Geneiva Wisconsin; Chantelle (Matrow) Ogden and spouse Donald Ogden of Suntree, FL; Danielle (Matrow) Silvano and spouse Charlie Silvano of Los Angeles, CA; Janelle Matrow and spouse Tom Moore of Westhampton, MA; Jaime Pinsonnault and partner Javin Forrest of Manchester Connecticut; great-grandchildren Morgan Ogden, Lillian Moore, Kodyn Moore,; Andy Huynh, Tony Huynh, Elias Pinsonnault; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, in Viera, FL on Thursday, September 26th at 11:00 am.
