Clara Bell Inwards
August 20th, 1913 - January 6th, 2013
Clara Inwards, age 99, fell peacefully asleep at the home in Kuna she shared with her daughter, and passed into Glory. She was born August 20, 1913 to Raymond J. and Gertie (Osborne) Ackerman of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota; the 8th of 10 children. She outlived all her siblings and passed away the morning of January 6th, 2013. She met the love of her life, Paul Inwards, while they were both employed by the same farmer in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. They were married on Sept. 19, 1935. Paul passed away on their 70th wedding anniversary in Sept. of 2005. They made their home in Weiser from 1953 to 2005 when they moved to Kuna to be with their daughter. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Helen King, Kuna, ID., Jerry Inwards, Caldwell, ID., Ed Inwards, Kuna, ID., and Ramona Knudtson (Mike) of Redgranite, Wisconsin. She is survived by her four children, and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her wonderful Weiser neighbors of 50 years, Norma and Harold Young and Margaret Sipe. She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband, Paul, and four great grandchildren. Clara was first, last, and always a wonderful mother and homemaker. If you visited her house, she had to feed you. There were always pies, cookies or other home made goodies to go with the coffee or a full meal if she could convince you to stay. The years they spent in Weiser she loved her wonderful peonies and roses. At one time she had 180 peony bushes and 80+ rose bushes. She helped her husband with their large garden and canned or froze plenty of food for themselves and anybody else who happened along. While in Weiser she attended Riverside Baptist Church and in her later years she was a member of Kuna Baptist Church where on her birthday every year, she would write a check for $1 for every year of her life. She was looking forward to writing that check for $100! We, her family, are so thankful for the privilege of having her with us for such a long time. We are so grateful for our loving church family at Kuna Baptist Church for the love, prayers and caring they have surrounded us with. We would also like to thank her great doctor, Alan Maderious for the great care he gave her the past 12 years and the wonderful folks at Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care for her and the consideration and compassion they showed our family this past year. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St. in Meridian. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 10th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 11th at Kuna Baptist Church, 1250 N. Linder Road in Kuna. Pastor Scott Piper will officiate. Remembrances may be left for Clara's family at www.AccentFuneral.com

We Entrusted Clara Bell Inwards's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
