Clara Jewel Kelley

Mrs. Clara Jewel Kelley, age 86, a resident of Auburndale passed away peacefully Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Lakeland Regional surrounded by family. Mrs. Kelley was born March 9, 1938, in Lake Alfred, Florida to MC and Susie (Ard) Mims. She was a lifetime Polk County resident, attended Auburndale Schools and attended Westwood Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Haven. Clara was a homemaker and worked with her husband Franklin at Kelley’s Used Cars as a bookkeeper, notary and helper. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, going to the beach, slots, traveling and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Franklin Hugh Kelley in 1989; 2 sisters – Virginia Roberts & Eloise Jones and son in law – Ronnie Kerce. Clara is survived by her loving & devoted family, 2 sons – Derrick (Marie) Kelley and Bobby (Rose) Kelley; 2 daughters – Charlotte Kelley and Rhonda Kerce; sister – Mildred Revell; 10 grandchildren – Erika Kelley (Joseph) Cox, Tyler (Jordan) Kelley, Shannon (Amanda) Kelley, Bobby (Kristin) Kelley, Jr., Jessica (Ryan) Jones, Christopher (Kenda) Kelley, Maria (Keith) Rogers, Christy Kelley, Daphne (Jason) Woodward and Kevin Kerce; 26 great grandchildren – Camden, Joleigh, Hollice, Harrison, Veronica, Jayden, Keegan, Chloe, Kinsley, Jolene, Kali, Blake, Lane, Kaylin, Joshua, Mikah, Jonathan, Destinie, Damian, Sara, Garett, Jesse, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Rhonda and Rhonda; 13 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, September 3rd at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10, interment will follow.
