Clara Rose Phillips
September 21st, 1932 - October 22nd, 2017
Clara Rose Phillips passed away October 22, 2017 in Olympia, Washington. She was born September 21, 1932 to Frank and Anna Campanile in Portland, Oregon. Clara graduated from Olympia High School, married, and raised her family in Olympia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who also worked for the State of Washington Employment Security Department, from which she retired. Clara also spent many years volunteering at various organizations. St. Michael’s church was where she spent most of her time. In addition, she volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul, the Community Kitchen at Salvation Army, and various other charitable organizations. What brought Clara the most joy was her family. She looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren. She went to as many of their events as possible. You could see the joy and love in her eyes when she was surrounded by her family; be it her siblings or her children and grandchildren, she loved and was loved them all. She loved to entertain her family and friends. Clara is survived by sons, Michael (Patti), Robert (Lyric), Richard (Gina), Ronald, and James; daughter, Karen; eight grandchildren, Kassie Harris, Daniel Phillips, Eric Phillips, James Phillips, Sydney Phillips, Tessa Phillips, Parker Phillips, and Logan Phillips; one great grandchild, Karlie Harris; brother, Frank Campanile; and sisters, Catherine Magistrale, Paldina Zanatta, and Fran Scheel. She was predeceased by her parents; and grandson, Peter Phillips. Please leave memories of Clara or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
