Clarence Edward "Buddy" Chauvin, 93, of West Columbia, husband of Jackie Andrews Chauvin passed away Friday, August 31, 2018. He was born on August 28, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Clarence Chauvin and Charlotte Chauvin Beecham. He was the owner of C.E. Chauvin Builders and a member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his wife of 30 years he is survived by his children; Charles E. Chauvin and Carol Louise Chauvin; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his previous wife, Louise Slayton Chauvin; and one sister, Evelyn Chauvin Foster. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 823 Jackson Street, West Columbia. The family will also greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Perry, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 301 Jericho Road, Perry, GA 31030. Burial will follow in the Campgrounds. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
